This was my first trip to AZ, and my first stay in a B&B; with the Sheridan House, I got it right the first time. The location is beautiful, it was a delight to wake up and look out the window of the Juniper Suite. The bed was so comfortable, it was a joy to lie there and listen to the rain (unusual weather for this time of year). The breakfasts: Don't miss the coconut oatmeal. And the burritos!Nick and Claire were wonderful hosts. Friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and even offered to provide suggestions on a planned trip to the UK next year.I will definitely be returning to the Sheridan House, and will recommend it to anyone I know headed to AZ and the Grand Canyon.

Seclusion in the Sycamore Room

Tucked away in the lovely Route 66 town of Williams AZ, is this lovely B&B. After visiting Scottsdale and Sedona, the Grand Canyon was the last leg of our Arizona journey. After reading the not so positive reviews of the Grand Canyon south rim hotels, I decided to book this well rated B&B. Best decision I could have made. Nick and Claire warmly welcomed us to their B&B, gave us a tour of the common areas, the room and gave us dinner options for that evening in Williams. Nick’s suggestions for dinner at the Red Raven were spot on and we enjoyed two excellent dinners there during our stay. The Sycamore Room has nice large windows that have views of the pine trees surrounding and since the B&B is located on a hill, it created nice privacy in the room. The special touches of bottle waters, personal Keurig machine with coffee and teas, free wifi, huge shower with rainfall, little spa treats were all ready for us. Decorated with taste, very clean and bright, with a large incredibly comfy King size bed with super soft sheets made for the best two nights sleep we had all trip. The Breakfast choices were hard to choose from, as all options looked to be delicious, but settled on the personally-made English sausage and the Salmon breakfast quesadillas with fresh squeezed orange juice, smoothies, best tasting oatmeal and fresh brewed café press coffee. Marvelous breakfast both days! Nick and Claire took the time to take interest in our visit there and shared some excellent tips for visiting the Grand Canyon South Rim, which made our experience above and beyond what I had planned for the day visit there. With the warm kindness of Nick and Claire, the extra spa like details of the rooms, gourmet style breakfast, exclusive Grand Canyon tips, and relaxing accommodations, I would recommend at least a two night stay here and will mostly definitely be back again!

I could not recommend this place more highly; it is a treat in every way. The inn keepers, Claire and Nick, are interesting people and excellent hosts while the inn is immaculate, with decor that is both elegant, eclectic and comfortable. It sits high on a hill overlooking Williams, a breezy, private and quiet setting. There are so many areas for guests to relax indoors and outdoors. The breakfasts were wonderful in presentation and flavor and bountiful. The inn keepers have thought about every way that they could make their guests comfortable. I got sick from too much sun exposure and they let me rest and prepared a special breakfast for me hours after breakfast normally ended. This place is perfect, not just a place to stay when sightseeing, but a destination itself for the discerning traveler.

Dear fellow travelers: Sheridan House Inn is a wonderful oasis. I rarely write reviews, but this B&B impressed us so much that I wish to share my enthusiasm! The hosts are delightful, and gracious; they offer many amenitites (including top-line British spa products) and the food is delicious! There is great attention to detail in the way the Inn is run. In addition, the hosts are very knowledgeable about the area and helped us to plan wonderful excursions to nearby places we otherwise would not have known about incluing, a nearby secluded canyon with wonderful views. They also helped us to plan a wonderful Grand Canyon visit, avoiding the summer crowds. The common porch and sitting areas are welcoming and a wonderful place to sit with a good book, a sketch pad, and/or a snack and refreshing drink to reflect on the natural beauty after a day of local excursions.

We cannot rate this hotel high enough! We were made very welcome by Nick and Claire and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms we had were of a very high standard, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We will definately be recommending the hotel to anyone planning on doing Rte 66 and are looking forward to staying there again next year!

An absolutely beautiful home with a great location one hour from the Grand Canyon in Williams, AZ, which is a charming, old time Route 66 town, also only one hour from skiing in Flagstaff. The decor was stunning with an Asian influence and breakfast was to die for. The hosts, Claire and Nick Kirby, were welcoming, helpful and easygoing. I would recommend a stay of any length, any time of year as the summer temperatures are comfortable and I'm sure snow in the winter is moody and beautiful.
