Art Workshops at the Sheridan House
The beauty of Williams, Az, the Grand Canyon and just about all of northern Arizona make us want to pick up some watercolors and paint away! But, we've never painted or drawn before. Problem solved! The Sheridan House Inn now offers art workshops suitable for budding artists with little to no experience at all.
Watercolor Workshop
Featuring the landscapes of northern Arizona's ponderosa pine forest, this three hour watercolor painting workshop will feature plein aire painting on the Sheridan House Inn grounds or in the nearby forest.
The class will feature personalized instruction of basic watercolor techniques and is open ended so that students of all skill levels can successfully complete a painting. Each artist will take home an 8x10 inch painting matted to 11x14 inches in a protective sleeve.
- Package is for two persons and includes:
- Two night's accommodation;
- Afternoon watercolor workshop, lasting 3 hours, with professional artist and teacher, Bonnie Dent (all supplies included);
- Tea and cookies served during workshop;
- Cheese platter with complimentary glass of wine to enjoy upon completion; and
- One set of 12 notecards by local artists from The Gallery in Williams.

Grand Canyon Pastel Drawing
During this 1 1/2 hour art lesson, students will observe the creation of a Canyon scene done in artist's pastels and then create on of his or her own. All supplies will be furnished including a mat to add the finishing touch.
This project uses an easy (and fun) technique and is suitable for for students school age through adult. It offers a unique way to express each person's image of the Grand Canyon and can be a memorable family event. Each artist will take home a 9x12 inch picture matted to 11x14 inches in a protective sleeve.
- Package is for two persons and includes:
- One night's accommodation;
- Afternoon or evening pastel drawing class, lasting up to 1.5 hours, with professional artist and teacher, Bonnie Dent (all supplies included);
- And afterwards enjoy either:
For afternoon session: English style afternoon tea, or
For evening session: cheese platter with complimentary glass of wine.
